ABOUT ZACK BATES
Zack Bates is a bassist, composer, and educator located in central CT.
As graduate of the Jazz Studies program at Western Connecticut State University, Bates studied bass performance under Danton Boller, member of the Grammy-nominated Roy Hargrove Big Band. As well as esteemed saxophonist Jimmy Greene.
Zack Bates is currently a member of CT based event/cover band Groovetet along with the CT based straight ahead trio ZNK 3. Bates also frequently plays in pit Orchestras at local community and school theaters.
